Words From Above

Revelation 2: 8-11

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

Revelation 2:7

North Korea is arguably the most closed nation in the world, yet the Bible is floating through the clouds and landing in its towns and villages. Hundreds of helium-filled balloons are sent up nightly from South Korea—balloons carrying the Word of God in Korean and flash drives with the text of the New Testament.

God has sent down His message to all of us with wisdom from above, and most of us are blessed to have it readily available without peril or persecution. It brings light to darkened hearts and benighted lands. How we need to read it—all of it—from Genesis to Revelation! God didn’t include prophecy in the Bible to confuse us but to enlighten us. It’s important for our ears to hear it, for our mouths to proclaim it, and for the world to hear it, even if we must use balloons to deliver the message.

Seven times the book of Revelation says, “He who has an ear, let him hear.” Let’s listen and learn and spread the message abroad.

A point to ponder…

Christ came not so much to preach the Gospel as that there might be a Gospel to preach.
